Creating brand exclusivity in your business can be a challenge.
Whether you are a student, an athlete or a businessman, there is competition coming at you from every angle. Make one mistake or lose focus and they will leapfrog you and take your place. In today’s world you cannot thrive by simply being average. You need to stand out. You need exclusivity in your business.
There is a reason why establishing brand image is so vital to success. Powerful branding allows you to stand out from the crowd. But in order to create that brand image you need to have exclusivity. Better yet, having irresistible exclusivity in your business will allow you to thrive in the market.
So the question is, how do you create that irresistible exclusivity? Here are some of the ways you can achieve that:
Extremity– One of the ideal ways to create exclusivity in your business is by going to extreme ends. You either provide the highest quality product or service that nobody can match or you provide the lowest of price that will grab everyone’s attention. This approach is a somewhat risky method because it may fail if you can’t live up to expectations.
By providing the highest quality of service or products at high prices, you absolutely have to deliver on the highest quality of service or product. If you don’t, you’ll lose business. On the other hand, if you use extremely low pricing people may suspect that the quality is very poor or that you are outsourcing services to substandard or poor quality providers.
Develop a Signature-Take a moment and think about what makes your company special? What is it that you can provide that nobody else can? Is it your stitching patterns, a secret recipe, unrivalled experience or a specialized skill? Find out what it is and make that your signature item. Focus on marketing “that special thing” to attract your customers.
Make people come to you because only you or your company can provide this product or service in the way you can. This is true exclusivity as seen by such great companies as Apple. They manage to generate such a buzz with their own product launches that people sit in line, in tents and sleeping bags outside Apple stores for over days or weeks to be the first to get their hands on the latest, new I-Phone. Incredible!
Connect with Customers-This is a basic marketing technique that most businesses fail to follow. Without customers you have no business. As a result, you need to make your customers feel special. Connect with them, make them feel wanted.
Providing a top notch service is what makes customers remember you. For that service alone, they will come back to you for more. Asking for feedback, offering them loyalty discounts, free items on their birthday and listening to their advice will make customers feel as if they are a part of your business. Enhance your customer connections and witness the positive results sure to follow!
Play with Scarcity– Exclusivity has one partner and it’s called scarcity. If you want to bring the element of exclusivity into your business then you have to tempt your customers with such an approach. The use of words such as “limited offer”, “get them while they last”, “only 5 pieces left” are commonly used by businesses.
When resources are scarce people tend to become more interested in them. They are willing to pay more since you have created an artificial (or real) shortage. You have created exclusivity. Every time you launch a product or offer a service people will rush to purchase it because they know it is limited and they might miss out on it.
As we noted above, creating brand exclusivity in your business can be a challenge. While you may start out quite well by bringing on signature items or going for the extremes, you need to consistently provide a high quality service or product that enhances and delights your audience. As a reminder, please note that we are an affiliate of Amazon, ClickMagick, Coach Glue, Content Sparks, GetResponse, Kris Clicks, NOW Lifestyle, OptinMonster, Rebrandable Traffic, SiteSell (SBI! & Solo Build It!), and other companies where we may earn reseller fees and commissions if a visitor makes a purchase after clicking on one of our images, posts, or links and visits the advertiser's website.
